Video sharing sites not only for entertainment, but it can be used as education purpose. Some government or non government organization will uploaded the educational information in video sharing sites as additional information for students. However, educators in Malaysia especially school teachers rarely if ever use video sharing sites such as the most common one, YouTube in teaching process. This may because there has no any wireless connection or local area network (LAN) is provided in classroom to assist teachers in teaching process. Today, university students are encouraged to use video sharing sites in assisting them during learning process. This learning style suitable for those students
who prefer use digital media such as internet, social networking websites and
blog compare to only give lecture in classroom (Burke, Snyder & Rager:
2009). In my Sociology Development lecturer will advices us watch some video about development process in the country through YouTube to enhance our understanding on development theories. During teaching process, he also prefers to show us some videos from YouTube and requires us write down what we understand after watched the video. I think that involvement of video sharing during teaching process can expand students’ interesting in learning process. They may more likely pay attention on pictures or images rather than words. Sometimes, we cannot learn or remember all things in class such as photoshop tutorial. Hence, video sharing is another educator tool at home for us to find the seminar work on how to use photoshop as long as we have internet access. Besides learn different lessons from YouTube, we can also learn diversity of cultures in the world that we never know before. Nowadays, college students prefer involve the link of video in YouTube into PowerPoint presentation due to attract audiences’ attentation. Moreover, audiences may more understand the information presented through the video rather that text. In addition, college students especially Communication Studies students should be encouraged create their own video to share in order to motivate their creativity. Hence, everyone can view their video and comment on it. However, some viewers will insult the video by using very hard words or give unjustified comment. This kind of act can destroy students’ self-esteem. Moreover, educators have to determine whether the content of the video is relevant, suitable and accurate or not before involve it in lecture for sake of avoid give wrong information to students. There is a lot unrestricted video in video sharing sites so students must be advised when access the videos sharing sites. According to Burke, Snyder and Rager (2009), hackers nowadays more likely use the online video to send the viruses to others computer when they access that video. Thus, anti-virus application is needed in the computer to against these viruses and Spyware.

Very true Chia Chia! By using visual aids such as video or photos, people tend to retain the information and knowledge better. The images seem to etched into the mind easier than the lengthy words. Don't know how to photoshop? Youtube it. Don't know how to makeup? Youtube it.
Youtube = New google..
Showing videos in class makes learning better. It stimulates our vision sensors and our listening censors thus making information retained longer in our brains.
Well, i could't agree more. Vision and Listening, yes these do helps us to expand our mind with what we can only do previously. Yet there is an idea which make me confused as the video itself rather than reading makes us worse in focusing.
